Company Culture

Not all progressive. Discriminatory and unfriendly

Support from management

Management are like coal mine bosses. They run the place like a coal mine. The place has double standards and most of what management says or does is a BIG pack of lies

Team work exists only among people of same color

Communication from management is full of double standard.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Age does not matter when it comes to abuse. It's a horrible place. If you are older, you are best not to bother mingling because they keep wanting to know how old you are so they can distance away from you or mock you

Develop toward what? Management? Are you white? If not, do not apply. Just dig in the hole and make sure they do not bayonet you

Its like working at a fish market. Noisy and stinks

Environmental Friendliness

Ecology does not exist here. Only leather handbag sales does. How can one talk of ecology when the company lives by products made from slaughter

Work-Life Balance

Wish there was a possibility for a negative number to be ascribed here. Nothing is sacrosanct at this place. Not evening, not weekends, not vacations. Your are tethered to your whatsapp on the phone and forever on call. Not even thanksgiving is sacred for these brutes. Thanksgiving has a travel freeze so you are on call and on hold for everything but to ensure watchfullness of his holiness the Dalai Lama of luxury apparel - Mr. Michael Kors

Only because teenage girls and women like handbags does this company have an image.

Not bad.

Workplace Safety

Not sure what this means. Am i in a building? Yes. Am i in a floor with other people? Yes. Do I have protection from ugly stares and know that there is subtle racism. oh yeah!

Challenging Work

Sometimes it is. But not very interesting though.

Inclusive / Diverse

It's a joke. Inclusiveness is such a racist approach. Inclusiveness is a byword for how useful you are, not how racially diverse you are

Suggestions for improvement

  • Be fair. Do not make false promises and not keep it up. As a $5 billion company, show some charity toward those folks who are working their fingers to the bone for you. The bonuses only exist for directors and above. There is nothing other than base pay. No incentive to work hard and the annual rises do not exceed 3% of base. The IT director position of this company is jinxed. They are the worst of human beings I've ever met in the business.

What I like about the company

Not sure anymore. The last week in December is off. That's nice. Most major US holidays also come with Fri/Mon off. That's nice too

What I dislike about the company

Lack of opportunity to grow. It is not racially diverse. Most sadly the white crowd are unfriendly for the most part but there are some nice folk as well. There is no opportunity in management or scaling up. Its a freeze when it comes to moving up but most sadly again, there is much opportunity for the white folks to move up and they frequently do.

  • Pay attention to departments with high turnover. There's a reason for it. Fix the issues to provide a better working environment for your employees.

What I like about the company

The employee discount is very generous. That is the only good thing about the company.

What I dislike about the company

Very bad working environment. Very stressful, poor treatment of associates by managers. Low morale. Concerns voiced to HR by multiple people received no response or remedy.

Company Culture

Very rarely was good work recognized.

Support from management

Lack of communication between management and team. Very top heavy. Too many managers and supervisors and not enough associates involved in the day to day workings

Most associates work well together.

Freedom to work independently

Very uneven distribution of the workload.

Internal Communication

Huge breakdown in communication. Management spends a lot of their day in meetings but no reporting of the outcome or any necessary information is ever passed along to the associates.

Not much room for advancement or training.

Overall compensation for your work

Pay is adequate but should be increased as more responsibility is added.

Office / Work Environment

Desk space is adequate. Some areas are very modern, freshly painted and open with lots of natural light and others are very drab and dark with no access to windows.

Environmental Friendliness

Very socially aware.

Work-Life Balance

Vacation time is lacking. Some departments are limited to when vacation can be taken. Company advertises a company wide closing between Christmas and New Years but very few departments can take off that week. Some can work from home but are still required to work daily and no compensation is given. Most average workday is 9-10 hours a day.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Increase staff to decrease stress placed on current staff. Increase vacation time. Increase communication. Promote an environment open to suggestion and collaboration. Training for managers on how to encourage and guide their staff and increase morale.

The employees worked together to accomplish their goals.

What I dislike about the company

Management is severely out if touch with the day to day. Constant pressure to do more with less. Unattainable goals set by management. Departments do not have adequate staffing to handle the work involved.
