Suggestions for improvement
- The company needs to look inward to see who really makes the money for the company. With exception to the mock-up store in corporate there are no cash registers inside the corporate office. Positions are added at the corporate level and regional level while the stores were cut. There was no upward communication just down. Direction that was poor instead of asking what we can do better the atmosphere was "just do it"
I like about the employer
Initially it was a fun teamwork team building workplace. As time progressed inventory selection was cut, work- hours were cut and promotional opportunities disappeared.
The store was attractive to nice people who loved crafts, housewives who wanted part-time work and hard working supervisory staff who enjoyed being appreciated with a potential for growth.
