Support from management
Employees are kept from knowing what is really happening from the supervisor as they are not allowed to report from upper management. Changes occur frequently and you are expected to embrace and excel on new platforms.
Suggestions for improvement
- Hire, groom and retain upper management, that not only embrace the corporation, but truly wish to support their direct staff. I fell/felt robbed of my future at a company I was loyal to for over 18 years. If not for my last supervisor I would still be contributing to MMI. Regardless of strict corporate guidelines and ridiculously wild need to embrace all cultures. MMI would be a much better place if all manufacturing only occurred in the USA instead of R&D and start-up only.
What I like about the company
I enjoyed the first six years of employment and was able to change positions in the company three times. The majority of my coworkers were tremendous in their support of me. I have made several life long friends after my 18 years of service at MMI aka Emerson.
What I dislike about the company
Of the six supervisors I reported to only two enriched my career goals. The sixth supervisor was the worst and I was forced to leave (of my own accord) a company I should have retired from.
