There isn't any unless you consider LO's vs. Production. You can't close loans like that.
Support from management
The worst management staff I've ever had. They don't seem to know what they're doing. Turnover is constant!
It depends on the week. Every 2 weeks everything changes -- teams, no teams, new teams, etc. I've never seen a company try & recreate the wheel. It's the worst lender I've worked for in 15 years of working as an LO.
Freedom to work independently
You're completely on your own if you're not one of the favorites. Good luck with that! (And I closed loans there, but I wouldn't have been able if I didn't have the prior experience.)
There are too many favorites so there is no way for all employees to feel equal. Certain people have access to leads & others don't.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I don't begrudge any of the older colleagues for making money but when you feed them loans & let others starve, it makes for a bad environment for all.
You can go into production if you find it's taking too long to close loans & you simply can't live on your draw. However, as soon as too many LO's quit, they'll pull you back to the LO side.
Overall compensation for your work
Loans took 60 days or more to close. Living on my draw, which was soooo low, forced me to find other work. I had to quit. You will always owe them. They do not pay for your licenses (at all) and your compensation & benefits keep changing. No consistency.
The employees do not talk fondly about their company.
There is no job security and with all the people quitting in the last month, they still put LO's on warning for production! Put the processors on warning!?! Never.
Inclusive / Diverse
Not inclusive. If you're a female & you're not attractive, you won't make it. I apparently looked ok as I was able to stay there a year and close some loans.
Suggestions for improvement
- Get processors who don't mind working and/or give them some incentive to move files forward. Make them have some accountability.
What I dislike about the company
There's no structure/system. As soon as you learn one, give it two weeks & it'll change.
