Suggestions for improvement
- Stop cutting positions. I realize it is a financial strategy, but it ultimately negatively affects morale and ability to provide quality care.
What I like about the company
Serving children with developmental disabilities is fulfilling and rewarding. However, supervising some of the staff can be very frustrating. Pay is fair but, as with any job in Social Services in the state of, IL, it is not commensurate with duties and responsibilities. Don’t work here if you want to be lazy. But, if you’re wanting a job where you can be a difference maker and get paid to play with kids, this may be your job!!
What I dislike about the company
There can be inconsistencies in policies and procedures and that can cause confusion and break down morale. We go through times of being very short staffed and that is gravely frustrating as adequate interaction with the individuals often must suffer.
