Suggestions for improvement

It appears one internet company "plagiarizes" another companies posting of a job or the posting company does not pull the notice upon filling the position quickly. Many jobs that I know have been filled by contacting the company are still appearing on various job boards as "new" positions when there is no position as it has been filled. Many companies don't have the courtesy to acknowledge receipt of the electronic application or they have reviewed your electronic application and you won't be considered further. I don't expect a reason why just a thanks but no thanks.

Interview questions

  • I have years of experience in the pharmacy profession and have a wide variety of experience. I have not been looking for a position that long or that hard. With the information that employers as for I wonder if age discrimination is real. I don't need benefits, I have a pension for life but I believe in giving to the community that I live in. I like to practice pharmacy and I have retail, hospital, long term care, regulatory, and teaching experience.
  • Some of my peers have stated my resume scares managers in pharmacies as they may think I want their job. I was a manager for 20 plus years, I just want to practice pharmacy. I am at a loss, one company I applied to supposedly had the position posted since March and I send the electronic application to them in October. I got a response back and it stated my skill set was not what they were looking for. What are they looking for if truly they have had a position posted since March (the candidate must not be on the face of the earth)?????
  • If other pharmacists read this please comment as I am dying to know what hiring personnel are looking for today. I have worked one job for 26 years and another for 22 years and I am in good health and up to date on my pharmacy practice skills. Please comment on what am I doing wrong. If I can regulate the practice of pharmacy and outsourcing facilities and manage a team of healthcare professionals and observe, write reports of violations or review the reports and send them for appropriate disposition, I know I am capable of doing the work.

Interview questions

  • Never called for an interview the position was filled and was still posted on numerous websites
  • I have had long term employment with two companies and a wide variety of experience.
  • I am still young and have the ability to work many more years with very detailed skills as a pharmacist. Is my resume too complex for screeners or is there age discrimination? I don't even want benefits as it would mess up my health insurance that I have for life.
