Suggestions for improvement
- Some of the schools could use maintenance, but that also requires more money.
The site-level staff is fantastic. There's a great deal of solidarity. Everyone its dedicated at the utmost level to providing our students with everything we can give them.
Anti-union, don't care about student experience, leadership gives themselves massive raises then attacks the funding of the most front-line individuals and programs. They are spending time and money on a communications campaign to impugn their own teaching staff. They are looking for any way to cut costs, even at the detriment to the success of students.
I enjoy teaching and can't imagine doing anything else. That said, there are plenty of bureaucratic issues that arise that make an already difficult job even more so. The amount and extent of work expected is nearly impossible to accomplish in the time allotted to a meaningful extent. If it weren't for the meaningful experiences I have with students each day, I don't know how I could work in education.
