only parts disapprove of, is human resources believing management when issues arised with harassment and bullying. Not looking into it or helping to alleviate problems or changing departments. Or calling at home to say you better show up in a 2 foot snows

I was a temp there for a year. Then they hired me on perminant. They are now paying for my schooling and helping me move up in the company

when a boss is not fair, upper management/human resources tends to listen only to management if any discrepancies or bullying occurs. But, when a boss is fair to employess, all is great

  • A more anonymous way to reach administration of practices that may be unfair and use of intimidation by a boss in an area that is closed to administration to freely walk through to observe.

What I like about the company

time worked on honor system not punch clock. flexible to changes for schedule of days if needed, good competitive pay scale and vacation and sick time. safety conscious with training. building well kept and lit. felt honored to work there and be part of their company.

What I dislike about the company

only negative part of working there was in the actual department itself when the supervisor was changed. allowed harassment and bullying to go on amongst co-workers no matter how much he was approached to help prevent it. would threaten that if told human resources he would make life worse and get them to not believe it.
But for many of the 27 years there the department management ran well with good, moral team leaders. As for the company itself, I truly believe that if they were able to have had this reach administration level, there would have been zero tolerance to it. It is a company where the employee feels grateful to work for them because of the appreciation and feedback given back by higher administration. Even birthday cards were given to 200 employees of the vice president own time and cost!

No support whatsoever. The company is so unprofessional to begin with.

Supervisor favors 1st shift, very unfair.

Suggestions for improvement

  • They need to have someone who KNOWS how to manage/run a company. Someone who will check in with both shifts, listen to what the employees have to bring up during meetings. That’s what meetings are for, to better the job. I would never recommend a friend to work at this facility, go work at the one in Andover & a lot of OT! I have friends who work there and tell me it’s great and ended up being perm! Methuen, goodluck if you are looking for a temp to hire job & barely any OT.

Workplace Safety

Not a safe environment. Electrical equipment without the outside plastics are plugged in everywhere, and will shock you. AC equipment literally falls out of the aging ceiling and onto the floor...and possibly onto someone's unlucky head

Suggestions for improvement

  • Replace all management and developers in Austin. Start from scratch with staff that has real world work experience.

What I like about the company

Medical benefits are average. Tuition assistance is available.

What I dislike about the company

Juvenile management with no prior management experience, makes for terrible inexperienced management in the Austin office.

Lack of proper work space creates an environment for a large single shared work space. The conception is that a shared work space is "collaborative". The truth is that its "cheap". The reality is that working side by side, literally, with several employees in unproductive and does not promote the most effective work

Software developers run amuck and run off at the mouth to the software quality assurance staff who are finding defects with the software. The business relationship is combative, argumentative and hostile. The juvenile inexperienced management has no clue how to control their unprofessional software developers. The result end result is poor morale with suffering software quality.
