Direct supervisor gave a direct order via text message... I followed the orders... was let go for doing what I was instructed to do. Turns out, because of fear of losing money because of competition opening soon, supervisors from all departments were given directive to start firing people anyway they can, in hopes that they wouldn't have to pay unemployment due to misconduct and save even more money for when the casinos in Massachusetts open.
Suggestions for improvement
- Needs to be run by someone who has a successful business background. Though wanting to prolong the longevity of the tribe is admirable, I'm unsure if having someone in a position who is not qualified to run a business of this magnitude just because he's tribal, is a successful business solution. Being someone who was heavily involved in watching the numbers decline year after year, (since the previous CEO was fired), I can attest to the ineffectiveness of hiring someone because of heritage as opposed to someone with business sense.
