The only person you can depend on is yourself. Going the 'extra mile' will get you nowhere with this company.
Support from management
Are excellent at instilling false gratitud to get you to work through breaks and lunches.
As coworkers you must lean on each other. You will not have support of management.
Freedom to work independently
It depends on your title. Technicians are extremely overwhelmed. On several occasions I was told "your getting paid 8hrs. Whether you work 6 or 15. Sounds good but overtime was always over 10 hours.
What is expected is made very clear.
Office / Work Environment
As a tech (blaster) working conditions are rough. Water blasting on top of factories in minus degree temps is hard. Expect to stay sick often as most work in the truck building facility I worked at is outside. The only heat you have is what heat is generated from the pump.
Working for this company is considered your life.
I was proud of the work I have done. However that's the only gratitude I received.
Suggestions for improvement
- A drastic culture change. I enjoyed the work I did. Yes it was hard and underpaid. However I did have some incredible coworkers. Stop treating employees like children. Do monthly drug screen on all employees especially management.
What I like about the company
Steady work. Job security.
What I dislike about the company
Treatment of employees. Being belittled in front of customers and coworkers. Unfair pay practices.
