- Support to sales reps in the field has been poor in recent years. Accounts often move into a jeopardy situation before the company takes action. Customers feel like they are not getting value and start looking elsewhere for support. Nalco needs to study the business model of companies like Athlon to rega9n it's competitive edge. Nalco remains as a giant in this industry, but they are quickly losing ground in water treatment, which has always been the company's bread and butter.

Nalco puts a lot of research into their products. They have always been the industry leader in industrial process and water treatment. Safety is paramount in the company. The process treatment branch continues to be a highly competitive division within the com-any.
