Suggestions for improvement

  • Promote more women. At the time diversity to them meant minority races not females.

What I like about the company

I was a second level supervisor within two years after starting out as a customer rep. I was compensated very well and got a year end 15% bonus. Had a reserved parking spot, was part of the NY state rate group so had NY business trips. Got on a special project to redesign the billing system and had a three week trip to Manila where I was flown both first and business class. I was allowed a 4 day work week and when I left I received 26 weeks pay and 18 months health and dental insurance.

What I dislike about the company

Very hard for women to get ahead. I was the only woman second level supervisor in the Office of Finance that had over 260 management employees. I was very well respected though with 8,000 employees, the executive VPs, president and CEO all knew who I was.
