Support from management
It was generally pretty good, but at times also painful. I unfortunately found that due to intraorganizational politics, even though I cared a lot about the organization and the cause and tried as hard as I could to help make it run as smoothly and do as much as possible, my efforts were not appreciated and I found myself downsized so that someone else could have my job.
No. It was not stable. I lost it very soon after being hired on a full-time basis (I had been a temp before that).
Suggestions for improvement
- Be very clear about titles, responsibilities, and growth and advancement opportunities-don't lead employees on and then not come through for them.
What I like about the company
I enjoyed the actual work and the location was nice. Also, it supports important causes.
What I dislike about the company
It doesn't make some of its employees feel secure in their jobs-it seems to be too prone to inside politics.
