Suggestions for improvement
- Eliminate the busy work titles and hire more productive staff so that people don't have to work overtime. Give us real cubicles so that we can hear ourselves think. Discourage the insecure old timers from "score keeping". Get rid of the IM thing, which is also a huge distraction.
I like about the employer
The upper level management is approachable and sensible.
I dislike about the employer
There are positions that seem to carry authority but they aren't actually described that way on the chain of command charts. The "business implementation manger", for example, doesn't seem to do much of anything apart from wander around the office giving people tasks to fulfill from other departments, often to the surprise of the actual managers. There are also some lifers who have kind of appointed themselves as managers of their less tenured co-workers, which is annoying. Also, the lack of enclosed cubicles makes it very hard to concentrate and also encourages continuous chit chat.
