Suggestions for improvement

  • More diversity training and better incentives for staff employees compared to what they have for their faculty.

What I like about the company

My work environment is very suitable and throughout my time here I've been given a great amount of raises it just seem that in this particular position there's no growth in a higher position, just extra duties. Also, the ability to work remotely in this particular position isn't available. Even though it's a non-essential position, they treat it like it is

Suggestions for improvement

  • Need to take workers' needs into account. Rethink workload and adjust accordingly. Promote more fairly. Upper mgt. needs to be more in tune with what actually goes on and have more realistic expectations of what can be done with the limited money and equipment available. Allow manager more leeway to delegate resources and staff as needed daily.

What I like about the company

The university provides fairly good benefits, esp. sick and vacation time. The health insurance is cheap and pretty good. Major holidays off.
