NCR has major internal morale problems due to a lack of: a) leadership, b) open two-way communications and c)real Human Resource support of employee issues and complaints.
Support from management
When a void exists in leadership, people leave.
NCR has an internal image problem where its employees do not feel supported by management.
There has been significant attrition since NCR acquired Retalix. Stability requires leadership, actively recruiting/retaining visionary employees and communicating openly with them to chart a positive future path.
NCR has a major internal morale problems due to a lack of real leadership, missing open two-way communications between management and employees, an inability to address and resolve past problems and an unwillingness to discuss the severe personnel retention issues and extreme attrition that currently exist.
Suggestions for improvement
- Listen to employees, support their critiques/complaints, do not hold grudges or recriminations (be slow to anger/quick to praise), make sure each area has a management seat at the planning and budget tables, treat employees as positive contributing team members and eliminate the Us-vs-Them elitist mentality through active and open discussions.
