Company Culture

Issues were always faced with over reaction rather than objectivity. HR manager always pushed traditional HR functions onto other managers.

Support from management

Top management was more concerned with appearances than substance, more with outside politics than internal strength. Performance reviews were all subjective despite the demand to be introspective.

Teamwork

Most supervisors worked well with each other and supported the needs of the group and overall organization.

Freedom to work independently

Expectation was for teamwork and team projects but reality was few team members had anything but basic knowledge of their own roles. Work load for most was so heavy they could never contribute to projects.

Internal Communication

CEO and HR manager were the only roles that were allowed to be totally frank and were but only with each other. Interestingly HR manager rarely had any facts or details to work with in addressing an issue.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Older team members were rarely valued as much as younger team members

Career Development

Zero opportunity for advancement. Promises to advance skill sets through training would never materialize.

Overall compensation for your work

Same role has better compensation in nearby markets.

Office / Work Environment

Relatively toxic

Environmental Friendliness

unnecessary generation of printed reports

Work-Life Balance

Constant email reports never allowed leadership to fully relax and recharge.

Company Image

Terrible social media feedback

Job Security

Never knew what was coming next

Handicapped Accessibility

Facility was very accessible but few roles were available for those with impairments.

Challenging Work

Most challenging piece of this role was the constant turn-over

Suggestions for improvement

What I like about the company

The people I supervised were good people and generally willing to please

What I dislike about the company

Team members had to write their own reviews and were told they were not introspective enough lending to VERY subjective reviews with Very small increases

Company Culture

Supervisors are working toward those goals, but the overall culture of the company could be improved.

Support from management

Supervisory attentiveness was good.

Teamwork

Teamwork among the management teams was not very good. Project planning was terrible between departments. Resulted in technology being used that needs constant attention due to unknowns about soft and hardware related issues.

Freedom to work independently

The problem with workload is the same problem they have with problematic project development. Moves toward technology used by employees provided more work which increased the workload for management team members and irritated employees due to the difficulties with issues related to technological glitches.

Internal Communication

The need for meetings among the employees I long overdue. Due to this, morale was at an all time low when I left. I believe that reliance upon computers as the HR representative contributes to this.

Gender Equality

It is unfortunate that 7 to 8 G.M.s/Logistic managers have been released in the last 4 years. Very hard to gain traction and move forward with company goals.

Overall compensation for your work

In some positions the pay scale is very problematic. Salaried employees are not compensated for the amount of hours sacrificed. Its hard to look forward to a raise up to 3% a year. Imagine getting only 1%. Very discouraging. 3% percent should be automatic every year and then provide a raise based on performance.

Environmental Friendliness

Most employees (including supervisors) are working six day work weeks. This due to turnover issues.

Company Image

Never was this the case in my final days. In fact, it was not common at all. The unfortunate turnover which would range from 75-100% at times discourages many.

Job Security

Job security for drivers and operations is a risky proposition. The disciplinary practices are anti-employee. HR is very non-supportive when it comes to company/employee relations.

Challenging Work

No, because no one would make an effort to appreciate you.

Inclusive / Diverse

I worked there for years and when I presented ideas, they were not only overlooked, but rejected. Even recommendations I made unwanted.

Suggestions for improvement

  • The parent company needs to restructure Nevada Coaches LLC... Look to obtain management that understands transportation and the people who work in it. Restructure disciplinary issues and provide more pay for all employees.

What I like about the company

I loved working with my fellow employees.

What I dislike about the company

It could be a great company, but the blatant disregard of the employee has led to the problems they have. Adverse disciplinary structure is a major cause of the issues that they have.
