Department Higher-level services in healthcare and nursing
Work life balance was never considered. Work was expected to come first. Vacation was given @ discretion of director of nursing. Human resources didnt intervene. The union helped but an employee who fought to be treated fairly was labeled a trouble maker.
Suggestions for improvement
- Treat staff fairly, act as if they matter & follow the labor laws. Don't rule by fear & intimidation: you dont keep good workers that way.
- More involvement from HR, "Real diversity" & less patronage.
