Management and non-management employees may as well be working for different companies, as they have very different priorities, which are frequently mutually exclusive. Employees can make suggestions and give feedback, but unless a manager can take credit for it, nothing will be done, and criticism, even when constructive, is universally ignored.
Support from management
Senior management ignores employees' needs and feedback while making unrealistic predictions about the company's prospects.
Freedom to work independently
Employees are expected to make their own decisions, only receiving management input after they have made the wrong choice.
Communication is limited and usually downstream only. Requests for information and clarification are frequently so long in being answered that they have lost relevance.
Never noticed the company making any distinctions of any kind between employees.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Most employees are older.
There is effectively no opportunity for career development or advancement. Educational assistance is available, but not pushed or encouraged.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay is general below average for duties performed and benefits are good but limited. They do pay on time.
Office / Work Environment
Adequate resources are one of the few things the company provides, though they may not be the correct resources.
Environmental issues very important, mostly for image reasons. Can't speak to anything else.
Work-life balance is actually pretty good, unless you're an executive.
Employees mostly have a neutral to negative outlook on the company. They are more realistic than management.
Very high risk of position elimination at all levels.
Company meets legal requirements for accessibility.
Company has a strong safety record.
Inclusive / Diverse
Working in defense, the company is required to be diverse, and does well in that regard.
Suggestions for improvement
- Replace the entire senior management, engineering, and software development teams.

I don't work for them anymore.

Management is incredibly ignorant about the needs and circumstances of their employees.
