What employees say

Employees like

Good work group. Diversified. Good hours.
I have so many positive memories with my time with Tynan's Nissan. They really do treat their employees like family. I've received many great employee benefits as well, ones that you probably wouldn't find working for other car dealerships. I get great incentives and bonuses that are better than other car dealerships offer. I have learned many good skills working for Tynan's.
Good vehicle brand to work with
I am not micromanaged. As long as the job gets done the order I do it in is up to me. I really have a lot of freedom at work. I've earned the trust for it. I'm the directors right hand and it's really put me in a good position
Well my company really is very friendly, they treat you very well, you make friends very fast and everyone takes care of each other as well as a family, offers you parking and drinks of very good quality

Employees don't like

The long hours and the lack of advertisement prevents us from having superb business
Better compensation for committed employees.
They kept changing the way the staff was paid and it resulted in lower wages across the board. There was no discussion about it with us, and we basically had to sign a paper we agreed or that was that. Turnover was high-especially with managers which isn’t typical. The work itself I did was boring and never changed. I never felt like there was any opportunity to move up or get a better job within the company. It took 2 ...
Communication between departments is terrible. The hours for the sales department suck. Every day there's at least one angry customer calling in. Practically no benefits. (Yes they offer insurance through them and PTO for full-timers, but nothing else: no 401K, no stock options, no investment options, no maternity leave, etc).
The looming threat of behind fired for ANY reason, lack of department communication with CUSTOMERS. And the parking was bad enough for customers, let alone the employees. (ANOTHER employee used to park so badly, that he constantly blocked other people in, myself included!)

Suggestions for improvement

Actualy training programs instead of sitting staff infront of a computer
Better advertisement to help everyone stay busy and earn more money
Let employees decide if they want overtime. Allow them to get off work in time to go take care of family business without having to risk their jobs. Give mileage to employees having to drive more than 50 miles one way. Do away with the vehicle lease program; employees need affordable insurance -- not overpriced company-sponsored insurance that's required with vehicle leases. Stop hiring contract work and hire directly into Nissan. Make benefits equal across the board to include pay, ...
Management should work with employees to eliminate unesessary friction between departments, department heads need to understand each job and be knowledgeable of them in order to understand the pressures each employee is under and help when things become stressful.
I would say better management would better the company and make the employees happier. being able to talk to your managers without being judged and have good communications .

Best and worst factors

Best rated: Workplace Safety

The best rated factor of Nissan Dealer Network is Workplace Safety with 3.7 points (based on 16 reviews).

As safe as cars can be
It's a congested car lot with an overcrowded inventory, so there's cars everywhere. You have to be alert and focussed at all times.
Speeders in the parking lot. Leaving cars running in the showroom. The care for safety is almost as low as their care for people outside their nepotistic circle.
There are not maintenance processes in place. Issues are addressed only when failure occurs or multiple complaints are lodged by staff.
No they're not in compliance with OSHA
