  • Try and get our company to pay everyone time and a half on the holidays that we work.

What I like about the company

Noodles offers lot of opportunities and they will also reward employees with money and gifts whenever you do a great job.

What I dislike about the company

They need to Offer health sick days to managers.

Great coworkers, discount is pretty good

Upper management is a joke, policies constantly change and make no sense.

Company Culture

The company has as one of it's Company Values and Culture, the importance of placing all employees above everything else. The company, due to struggling overall ecomonics, and poor financial planning, closed nearly 80 locations in early 2017, giving employees ZERO notice. The restaurants were stripped of logos and equipment overnight, and had Area Managers waiting to terminate all employees the following day. Employees were given severance based on term length of employment, but did not exceed 2 weeks "average pay".

Support from management

Area Managers are often unable to be reached, and when they are available, their response is often "well you tell me". Support from upper levels simply does not exist.

Teamwork

Support from Area Managers is negligible at best. Often restaurants would go for weeks with little to no communication from Area Managers. Visits from Area Managers would last no longer than 3 hours, and Area Managers were unable/unwilling to assist locations, nor finish their required evaluations.

Freedom to work independently

You have no choice but to work independently, as you will receive no support, and little direction.

Internal Communication

Communication from Corporate Office came often day of, if not day after. The company claims to have an open door policy, but does not hold true to this.

Gender Equality

Company is excellent at maintaining Gender Equality.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Staffing of these locations generally does not include older colleagues.

Career Development

Advancement is nearly impossible, as there will be no support from upper management in terms of development. They tend to leave everyone where they are, so as to not having to find replacements.

Overall compensation for your work

Company pays around the minimum of Federally mandated salaried positions. Hourly employees are nearly always started at the base minimum, and raises are conducted only once per calendar year.

Office / Work Environment

Work environment is poor at best. Company makes minimal efforts to make the kitchen areas conducive to work. During winter times, temperatures can fall to 0 and during the summer months exceed 100 degrees.

Environmental Friendliness

Company attempts to be slightly Environmentally Friendly, offering plastic reusable cups, but this is not enforced at locations. Saute pans, which are recyclable, are simply disposed of in the trash.

Work-Life Balance

Average work week of a Manager ranges from 55-70 hours per week, often consisting of 14+ hour days.

Company Image

Company attempts to have a clean image, but the reality of it is the complete opposite. Buildings and structures are often left in disrepair.

Job Security

With the company performing as poorly as it has since 2015, multiple closures and reduced hours are wide spread. Relocation is rarely offered.

Workplace Safety

Equipment will often be found to be in a state of disrepair, and average repair times often exceed 2 weeks.

Challenging Work

EXTREMELY challenging work. You will be performing the work of approximately 4 employees (based on a normal fast casual format).

Inclusive / Diverse

Company is excellent at hiring from all demographics and embracing diversity.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Company needs a 100% complete overhaul in upper management, and field leadership. The company "Training Program" is always "under reconstruction", and training is negligible at best.

What I dislike about the company

The company promises a balance between work life/regular life. This is a complete joke. You will be "on call" 100% of the time. Average days off per week are .5-1, and average work hours will be 55-70 per week.
