Support from management
It's a every man for himself type of situation. If need you will be thrown under the bus and possibly backed up over.
No team outside of the shift you're on
You find out after the fact or when you mess up
They don't hire to many women so that is hard to answer
Attitude towards older colleagues
Long serving means nothing at this company. Everyone is equal
What advancement once they get you in place they don't want to move you. Turn over is too high for that.
Office / Work Environment
Hot as hell in the winter, hotter than hell in the summer
ROTFL. Yeah right
Your life is Norbord and they make no exceptions for anyone else. To hell with your family or anything else you may want to do on those days the schedule said you may be off
Walk in expecting to be fired or nit picked at any moment. Never, ever rock the boat
Other than the ramp at the front door and the handicap bathroom in the front office no they don't. If you have a disability this company is not for you.
They claim to be a safe company but I'm surprised they've only killed one person here.
Inclusive / Diverse
There are like 5 women and like 10 black people. None of them are in maintenance and one black guy in managemnent who as the joke is doesn't count. Two white women in management but they are more like the maid and help of the company
Suggestions for improvement
- The company needs a overhaul at the top level that will trickle down
