NORC regularly fired people for no case. To meet their budgets they would fire anyone making over $10. They fired all full time staff and replaced with part timer and then fired nearly all the part timers and replaced them with new people who they paid $8.50 and hour before moving most of the jobs to Nevada.
Support from management
Some of the immediate managers are okay but the top managers never cared about anyone.
There is teamwork but the positions did not require teamwork.
Freedom to work independently
This was not an option in the positions I held.
Communication was okay as it came from the immediate supervisors.
Attitude towards older colleagues
No they fired 90% of the full time staff and fired 98% of the part time staff that made over $10 an hour.
No career development
Overall compensation for your work
They made excuses for not giving raises and fired nearly everyone who made over $10 an hour.
Office / Work Environment
The computer I was on never worked but this because of how they made sure right before they dismissed you that they found cause to let you go and not pay unemployment. They even boasted about never having paid unemployment insurance to any employee they laid off. They laid off between 300 & 500 people, if not more during the two years I worked there.

There was no work life balance. I could not take off for a siblings funeral without it counting against me even though I had excellent yearly reviews and perfect attendance and was never late. They held the week I took off for my sibling's out of state funeral against me.
No, how can you talk fondly about a company that give you great reviews and then fires you for cause hundreds of people a year. Every 3-4 months around 50 people would be fired.
Job was not safe as they kept trying to cut costs by laying off/firing all employees who made over $10 an hour. Then they moved most of the work from our department to Nevada.

Suggestions for improvement
- Be honest about budget problems. Admit it only wants to pay minimal wage.
What I like about the company
The location and some aspects of the position.
What I dislike about the company
They fired anyone making more than $10 an hour and then boasted about never having to pay unemployment insurance. Massive layouts that the company labeled as firings approximately 200 each year.
