The inverted pyramid they instill as a newcomer is quickly realized to be a fallacy.
Support from management
The goals are often unrealistic with them telling you that your job is on the line of you don't meet them daily.
It's easy to work with some of the other employees, however, management is a very different story.
The communication tends to be more blunt demands
Office / Work Environment
When upper management comes through the store changes. Things that could be considered fire hazards are moved. Emergency protocols are somewhat of a joke.
If someone calls out and you can't come in you can expect to be fired the next time you make a small mistake. You are replaceable and they let you know.
Anytime you are working with customers can be challenging but you get a sense of accomplishment once they check out.
Suggestions for improvement
- Better management. The ideals of the company are golden. It would be a good company if they were carried out. In my experience they need to improve significantly.
