Top management usually always supports department managers over sales associates. Many managers don't have enough training, leadership skills or try to hard to be friends with employees instead of managing the ones who need it. Different employees are held to different standards, which is ok when it comes to sales goals because their are different levels of skill, but not ok when it comes to timeliness, stock work and just general attitude from employees. Regional/buyers are off a lot with what customers want or need.
