Rather hostile, uneasy work environment. High turn over rate. Condescending team leads and upper management.
Support from management
Leadership wasn't incredibly strong. Most of the management had no prior management experience and was directly related to the owner of the company.
Teamwork wasn't encouraged. Additional/Up-Training also wasn't ever provided. Team leads weren't responsive to requests for help or responsive to questions in a timely or positive manner.
There was a serious breakdown in communication. Information would be communicated to management then to team leads but wouldn't be communicated effectively and timely.
I'd have to disagree. Women were looked down upon in this company, and the pay grade definitely wasn't equal. During a meeting, I'd mentioned something and it went unnoticed until my male counterpart repeated it and received praise.
Unfortunately, this is a small company with a lot of related people working together. Most management positions are for reserved for family members or "loyal" employees. Also, when a team lead, or middle management position was created, you didn't apply for this position, you were hand picked.
There definitely wasn't opportunity for career growth and no additional training after your initial "new hire" training.
Overall compensation for your work
Overall, the pay was fair, and for a small company, the benefits were good. I was always paid on time and without issue.
Office / Work Environment
The computers were outdated especially in the training environment.
Also, there wasn't a regular custodial team that clean the facilities so there's an incredible amount of dust that's built up. No idea for someone who has allergies.
Social media was looked down upon at this place of employment.
As long as you had PTO, you could use it.
This is definitely one of the few perks of working for this company.
While employed there, most employees will sing its praises. Someone is always watching and the walls have ears. Saying anything negative in regards to the company, the owner, anything would land you in the hot seat.
After being employed there, I feel free to express how it truly was there.
