The overall culture is very purpose-driven: everyone is made to feel they are part of a greater purpose. Internally, though, the IT department had no support, and was viewed as a writeoff rather than an asset.
Support from management
Supervisory management was fine, if weak, but department management (CIO, directors) was either unheard,, or all negative.
Internal (IT) teams were fine, but working with external teams was troublesome. Many external teams (HR, finance) were siloed, and unwilling to share information.
