Suggestions for improvement
- Computer charting!!!! Updated building structure/utilizing space better, make each unit need specific ie. Rehab, LTC, hospice, severe dementia/Alzheimer's, rather than blending units of all (it's a bit unit specific but barely) a remodel could allow us to take tracheostomy patients like other Ethica facilities do, therefore increasing type of residents accepted and increasing revenue for company. I know there is quite a bit of available space on the hospital side to make it possible without having to build on, just redesign layout. Also to have a more cohesive relationship with the hospital we are attached to. Right now it feels we are two completely separate facilities. (We could be for all I know, but it'd be nice to be able to work closer with the hospital we send 99% of patients to frequently. I have many ideas but will stop there. Overall this is an amazing LTC and Rehab facility that I'm proud to work for and would feel safe putting my family in. Like I said in another section all the employees from laundry to nurses to medical records genuinely love their job and the residents they care for!
I like about the employer
Numerous employees in all departments have worked at this facility for many years, that is unheard of in LTC! And that doesn't mean they aren't accepting new employees with open arms because we do! I feel 98% of the staff genuinely care about the residents and love their job. Again hard to find in LTC.
