Suggestions for improvement
- I definitely think the company could do better by having additional training throughout employment and quicker updates on changes. NMH does great training in the beginning of employment but afterwards additional training is hard to come and this mostly due to the needs of the company. Emails are great but the interpretation may be different for some people so training even in sections would be sufficient. We often learn about changes when speaking to our patients as they may have been told directly from the physicians office and this makes us seem not as knowledgeable.
What I like about the company
I can say that NMH is very understanding to their employees when they are needing ro be off work for really any reason. They follow up with you to see if everything is ok. I've even had a supervisor help me get to urgent care when I became sick at work and another supervisor offered to order and pay for an Uber ride for me. These instances were above and beyond.
What I dislike about the company
Although NMH pays very well the work can get stressful and employees apply for positions in different departments or leave altogether. One of the things I have noticed is the high turnover of employees across the board. It seems they may need to come up with something to combat this.
