At the office you have the freedom to work independently. As far as I'm aware, you can't work from home. In most cases that is a good thing as I don't think people can generally moderate their own effort/productivity at home. Having to come in to the office is a good thing.
I have been empowered to grow in independence and to earn the respect of my teammates by owning my clearly understood commitments.
As a self starter I love this place as I had the opportunity to make a difference from day one.
