What I like about the company

A lot of overtime. You get to be involved in the local farming of cranberries. It’s very interesting work. Most of the employees are of the same socio economic background. They look out and take care of each other. It’s a nice area surrounded by woods. They make sure every employee is safe at all times. There is usually a one dollar raise for returning employees. You get a bonus for referring other people. You meet great people. It’s nice extra money for the Christmas season. Everyone around here is involved somehow in the cranberry business. It is owned by individuals not a company. We love coming back every fall to see each other. There are opportunities to earn overtime pay which is hard to find. They hire entire families. There is the office, the tower, the scale house, the incoming lab and the outgoing lab, there’s a binning station and rain forest areas where the water falls and you have to continually sweep the excess water into drains. The bad berries get put into bigger bins and hauled out. They become bad when the temperatures are too high in September or when it’s too cold and a frost covers them. Farmers have to be on call all night during the season to turn on their sprinklers and ke
