My experience with working for this company has been nothing but amazing. It was the best job decision I've made!

EmployeeWorked at Ohioans Home Health Care, Inc. in Toledo, OH at the time of review.

What I like

Working for Ohioans Home Healthcare has been a life changing experience. I, personally, feel that this is the best job I've ever had. The main focus will always be providing quality care for patients and making sure that their individual needs are met; with that being said as an employee for this company I feel that the company is very good at balancing the needs of the patients with the needs of their employees. The schedule is very flexible if you are not an office staff member which I am not. You make your hours how you need them and you work directly with patients to meet their needs within the hours YOU want to work! There's nothing better than having complete control over your hours which Ohioans gives you! I am beyond happy with my decision to work for this company!

What I dislike

Working with Ohioans gives you the opportunity to work outside of an office but there are some downsides to that as well. The communication between the office and the employees out in the field can be a little delayed at times. The company as a whole does its best to make sure that employees communicate with each other to make sure that all the patient needs are met but this doesn't always happen promptly as everyone is out in the field working with different patients and not face-to-face. The pay is great but if you work in the field and are paid per visit then your paycheck depends on people keeping their appointments with you. This can be very stressful if you continually get cancellations - the office still does a great job at trying to stay on top of this issue though and it takes communicating your needs back to the office to stay on top of your patient list. Overall the company does an amazing job at trying to address all the issues that arise as promptly as possible but if you are that type of person that doesn't handle delays / requires immediate responses to feel comfortable then this may not be the best option for you.
