Company Culture

The management treats anybody on the first floor with contempt. I felt belittled quite often during the simplest exchanges. Signs put up around the office imply that employees are children in need of constant parenting. It was insulting, to say the least.

Support from management

I was fired for missing work due to a spinal injury from being rear ended by a semi truck. Even with a letter from my doctor. Unemployment agency found this termination to be unlawful. Any employees who have any problems whatsoever are turned over without a second thought. I have never seen such a high turnover rate in any workplace.

Teamwork

The teamwork aspect of the job was severely lacking, with overworked helpdesk members and undertrained team members. I was often spoken to rudely while asking a question that did not have a clear answer in the handbook.

Freedom to work independently

Everything is checked and double checked to ensure not your effectiveness at work but your likelihood of gettimg the company sued.

Internal Communication

I had multiple team leads giving conflicting information regarding company policy, and was reprimanded for trying to clarify the instructions.

Gender Equality

Mostly female.

Attitude towards older colleagues

If you had your own office or worked on the top floor you were treated with respect. Otherwise... don't make me laugh. I have felt less belittled working at a gas station.

Career Development

The elitist culture of the management made it hard to enter their clique if you weren't "friends" with them. Promotion had nothing to do with merit and more with who was more sociable with management.

Overall compensation for your work

Paid minimal amounts and I was passed over for a raise solely because I missed days due to a car accident where I was rear ended by a semi. Again, with doctor's letter written directly to gm.

Environmental Friendliness

60 sheets of paper printed to notify all employees of the most superfluous updates.

Work-Life Balance

I was injured in an automobile accident and fired due to time missed, even with a letter from my doctor directly to my general manager. He ignored it.

Company Image

Don't need to worry about image when your company's servoces are state-mandated. That probably explains the high turnover rate and poor attention to employee needs.

Job Security

Highest turnover rate I have ever seen. Approx 2 of every group of 10-12 actually stay, and one of them will be let go in the next 2 months.

Handicapped Accessibility

Saw no issues here.

Workplace Safety

Had to use an outdoor bathroom during the freezing cold winter while building was "modernized".

Challenging Work

All you need to know how to do is spell words correctly and listen. Neither of these were actual job requirements, and the mgmt had horrible grammar and spelling issues. It took 8 months for them to get my name right.

Inclusive / Diverse

Very tight-knit cliques. If the office mgr doesn't like you, you won't last long. It was super personal and not professional at all. I have been called a liar with a doctor's letter in hand

Suggestions for improvement

  • Maybe if you spent more time on employee care and actually listen to your employees and heed their needs, you wouldn't have to hire 20 new people every 2 months.
  • The general manager should be terminated due to gross misconduct. Again, found at fault by a government agency regarding employee termination.

What I like about the company

The work itself was actually fun in comparison to writing prescriptions and handling sales or shipping systems. The company had a few cool employee "parties" that yet in no way made up for seriously lacking human resources competency.

What I like about the company

They will pretty much give anyone a job.

What I dislike about the company

Their management openly showed favoritism. The HR admin did very little work and would gossip about issues people would come to her with. There is no career path here, you either stay a phone operator for years or hope management likes you enough to move to the help desk and have you do the work of managers for months without a raise or promotion.
