I detest disloyalty, narcissism, and pettiness. This company cultivates it all! You can't trust anyone in power because of the Machiavellian office politics being the law of the land.
Support from management
You have access to supervisors but they will not strive to correct any problems that you have.
For the most part the majority of us worked well together but the pettiness of the higher ups hindered our efforts constantly.
Freedom to work independently
Often we would point out how to greatly improve productivity but often it would fall on deaf ears. To make matters worse favoritism from management of choice employees created a massive rift amongst us.
Management continues to fail at this time and time again. Worse yet, they don't care!
Why just women? As a man I have grown sick of the misandrist culture of America. In this company you will go far as a man in the warehouses but hit a wall at corporate.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I have seen a colleague who has more knowledge than her own supervisors but since she is not part of the club she is a prime example of "it's not what you know but who you know" and yes she is patronized by fellow women who are part of "club".
Get real. I figured out things on my own at corporate and at the warehouse only a handful knew their job. As for training their is none. At the warehouse they keep selecting people who are not computer savvy.
Overall compensation for your work
GOD NO!!!! I quit this job for lower paying job and now I pay my bills on time. You get paid every 15 calendar days, on the 10th and 25th unless either falls on the weekend.
Office / Work Environment
The corporate office is amazing! Free soft drinks from one of those Coke drinking fountains, a cozy game room and an unbelievable lunch room, but why is it so cold?! I have seen videos of other warehouses and they make the Phoenix facility look "ghetto". I will say though that the Phoenix facility is clean. Cleaner than any other warehouse I have seen. Too bad none of the managers seem to care nor have any training on what to do when a shipper illegally sends a hazardous shipment through us. Once again subordinates had to take of the problems. Management sat on their hands for 2 weeks and 3 days on one cooler containing human waste and the other involved us asking so called management to pull all packages from another offending shipper only to find out that our request fell on deaf ears.
Sure they make f2fcontributions to charities but to me since I know who they are the gesture comes off as hollow.
Get real, you have to put your foot down because I have seen managers run to the ground, because their supervisors have them working well past their schedules. I love how the holidays means mandatory overtime, and the constant badgering to take over time because of constant under staffing at corporate. Even worse was the warehouse. If you work in the AM crew you get days off approved. Hello you could even call in sick without being heckled. Now if you work in the PM crew, ha! Eat crow! I have seen a fellow employee being forced to come in only to be diagnosed later with Pneumonia! Thank you management for yet exposing me to this contagion!

You can get fired at any time over the most trivial matters.
If this wasn't enforced by law I firmly believe the company could care less.
Per comment above regarding the mishandling of hazardous shipment, which by the way we don't do, management down played the situation with the cooler of human waste. Emergency contact numbers were available on the side with instructions to immediately contact those numbers in case of a breach. Instead they placed it in an area where employees would be constantly exposed.
I have a sense of accomplishment until someone else attempts to defame you over trivial matters that have no bearing on logic, but what do you expect from a company with 240 plus pages of hate on yelp?!

Remember my deaf ears assessment? When problems arise don't snub us and take an attitude that we're lazy. We work hard for you so that you can go home to your overpriced lifestyle. After all we have a deplorable work/life balance thanks to your inaction.
Suggestions for improvement
- All of our suggestions have been made regarding meetings between crews, not manager only, regarding any on going issues for the day, and like all of our suggestions they fall on deaf ears. So I refuse to even waste my time on a group of individuals that only care about meeting their KPI, but not on how to fix the root cause.
What I like about the company
Nothing. Never in my life has a company offended me on a personal level.
What I dislike about the company
I didn't like being called into the office to be accused of bad mouthing the military. ARE YOU INSANE!!!! I was defending our military. I am a proud service man. Worse yet they didn't even here me on what I was saying and months later for my review I was marked down as emotional. So I transferred over to operations at the warehouse. A couple of months pass and my father died. Since I had so much vacation time I was told by my supervisor to take 2 weeks off with the option to continue if I needed the time. So I did take 2weeks but after a while I could not be at home anymore because I was staring at his room. When it came time for my review I was marked for a below average attitude noting that I came back distraught. My family just dealt with death in a total of 5 months, multiple tragedies including my dad, AND I GET RATED A 2!!! Really? What kind of sick joke is that?!
