Support from management
Goals are general but the work load is enormous. Never enough time to complete work in a timely fashion. Very little support from management.
Freedom to work independently
Not trusted to work independently. Everything is second guessed & questioned by management.
Claims of communication are basically on a "need to know basis" rather than being truly transparent.
There is an unspoken "good 'ole boys club" mentality.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older/senior employees are supported much more than younger & newer employees but there is very little support overall.
No development opportunities available. They do offer online "classes" but they are rather generic.
Office / Work Environment
All of the office & coworkers were friendly, helpful & encouraged improvement among mid-level workers. However, senior management expected everything without providing support. The facilities were more than adequate to perform work.
No job security!! Locations close at the drop of a hat. Claims are it's for "the benefit of company success." They generally do offer severance packages if you've been with them long enough to be of value to you.
Inclusive / Diverse
The company policy is"open door" but ideas were consistently rejected without consideration.
Suggestions for improvement
- Follow through with employee development instead of just 'saying' it. Show appreciation for your hard, dedicated workers.
What I like about the company
The work was challenging and allowed me to learn a lot. Coworkers were amazing to work with.
What I dislike about the company
The person is viewed as just a number & extremely dispensable. People are not valued for their contributions nor recognized for dedication & loyalty.
