Oracle has no career development plans for their engineering staff. No job rotation. After many years in the same positions, engineers may find their skills outdated. Once they get laid off by Oracle, they may find it difficult to find another jobs.
Overall compensation for your work
Oracle pays low salary to their existing staff, even though they may pay competitive salary to attract new hires. Engineer positions typically do not have stock options. Year-end bonuses are rare and very low.
Oracle recently adopted a flexible vacation policy. There is no accumulated vacation balance. Thus, employees have to take vacation as soon as possible, or else when the employment is involuntarily terminated, employees lost all vacation that they would have entitled to.
Office / Work Environment
Work environment of the Oracle HQ is good. But personal offices are very limited. Individual contributors have to work in cubicles or even work stations with little or no privacy.
There are small but frequent layoffs at Oracle, for no apparent business reasons. (Since Oracle engineer salaries are notoriously low, layoffs may not save the company much money).
Moreover, layoff decisions are often made by managers many levels above the staff being laid off, without consultation with the first and second level managers.
Furthermore, before laying off there long-time workers, Oracle management does not seem to attempt to move them to other open positions in the company.
This depends on the teams. Managers do take the initiative to give their staff new responsibilities and let them develop new skills.
What I like about the company

What I dislike about the company
