The company motto encourages respect for all. I feel that as one of the people in day to day operations that the upper management is often out of touch and do not always follow what the culture is supposed to be.
Support from management
When I started they just threw me to the fire and didn’t let me shadow before I took on my own schedule. At some point they figured this out but I still saw a lot of patients while shadowing 2 of the physicians.
They often ask us to discuss the problem with outcome with our coworkers. This often can be uncomfortable but rewarding to have an open conversation with your peers
Freedom to work independently
Thankfully our department does this, however upper managment often micromanages
Sometimes I see my Press Ganey responses.
There are plenty of women in upper management

They do offer CME reimbursement up to a certain point and allow 5 days paid CME

Often on the lower to mid range pay compared to the nation
Office / Work Environment
It’s usually too hot or too cold and the carpets smell of mold after they are cleaned. Lighting is effective
I think there is some recycling at the main hospital.our recycle bins are actually the confidential shred pile
Depends on the day. Sometimes my patient load leads to longer hours or working on the weekend to finish charts. (More often than not this is true)
Most days. Patients have no idea about the behind the scenes which is good
All buildings are handicap accessible
Lots of education on prevention
Can be stressful because there is always a push to see more patients but with better quality. You sacrifice something if you expect both quality and speed.

- You push the IC2 it culture to the regular employees but upper management does not always follow it which makes it difficult.follow what you preach.
What I like about the company
When I was dealing with a lot of stress from home and work, I presented a solution and they worked with me. Now that is contingent on me not saying no too many times even if I have a full schedule. So far it is working okay.
What I dislike about the company
Listen to the peons. We are the ones who have to deal with your decisions on a daily basis. You don’t want your employees to feel that you think we are all replaceable, which is currently how most of us feel.
