Suggestions for improvement
- Offer employees opportunities to review their managers without fear of retaliation. Upper management needs to be made aware of managers and directors who are not effective in their positions in regards to communicating effectively with employees or who single out employees unfairly. Create open dialogue to improve the work environment for all employees. Pay should be more in line with other utility companies.
What I like about the company
Good benefits, including 401K, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, employee events, training opportunities
What I dislike about the company
Management does not trust employees to do their assigned tasks without constantly micromanaging them. It can be overbearing to say the least.
Management does not communicate effectively and share information with employees on a consistent basis so that employees understand what is going on in the company. This makes employees feel unvalued and not trusted.
Management needs to work on improving and creating more effective communication channels with employees to create understanding and mutual cooperation and a better work environment. Trust and respect is key to creating a healthy work environment.
