Support from management
Employees are not kept as a part of the decision making process. Leadership sides with the company you are assigned to and doesn't stand behind their employees.
When it is discovered a company has lied to the employee to trick them into an assignment. Good communication is very rare.
Rarely met my liaison who was supposed to be available to communicate with throughout the assignment.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Most of the management in my local office are twentysomethings. I don't recall anybody close to my own age.
Overall compensation for your work
Very unclear about when pay reviews would take place. Little to know health benefits available to the temp associate.
Office / Work Environment
Constant computer problems hindered job performance. The company seemed just as lost as I did.
Took time off to care for my elderly parent. Face to face I was told it was ok to take a day off. Behind my back the company didn't back me up and pulled the rug out from under me.
Safety seemed to be of little concern.
Suggestions for improvement
- Have more leadership meetings. Do events that make temp associates feel valued.
