Support from management
Upper management is very supportive, but mid level management is not.
Peer to peer teamwork is superior! Top level leadership will work with field team as much as possible to meet goals.
Freedom to work independently
The role requires independent work as we are in the field working with accounts in our territory. Unfortunately, mid management micro manages every single task and dictates what needs to be done restricting creative thinking and inspiration.
The organization will change direction on a whim with little to no communication before hand. The organization tends to be reactive verses proactive.
Zero development from mid level management.

Office / Work Environment
Field positions are work from home which is great! The reason this is a two star is that mid level management doesn’t respect that it’s a home space and expects work to be completed regardless of the time of day or day of he week or amount of hours worked. They make a request (demand) and expect it to be done right then.
Peer to peer is very friendly. Upper management has a fun, friendly attitude that did not trickle down to mid level managers who seem to have no empathy.
Goals are lofty and the work week is 7 days. The “always on” mentality is expected. The workload and tasks are abundant (two full time jobs worth) and many mid level “leaders” are micro managers who create additional work so they can track progress.
Recently it feels as though no ones job is “safe.”
Very challenging work environment for better and worse.

There are many different types of people from different backgrounds.
Suggestions for improvement
- As difficult as the job may be, the organization would be five star if mid level management was supportive, took time to develop their teams and were actually leaders and not dictators. I don’t feel like my manager cares about me at all.
What I like about the company
My peers are great teammates! There is no shortage of peer to peer partnership and encouragement
What I dislike about the company
My manager... he has no empathy, no compassion... he dictates instead of having conversations. He will ALWAYS point out what someone did wrong or should have done, but rarely does he provide positive reinforcement or motivation. If his ideas are challenged, he becomes defensive and shoots down any other ideas.
