Suggestions for improvement
- Mid-management should foster a culture of professionalism and safety. They should take notice that if someone is consistently tattling on one particular person, perhaps the tattler has an agenda. Administration should not indulge the gossip and the petty, artificial alliances.
What I like about the company
If you were lucky, or in the proper clique, there was very little micromanagement so you were allowed to simply do your job which was great.
What I dislike about the company
There are many alliances between middle management and certain lower-level team members which fostered an abundance of finger-pointing, lack of accountability for some, along with defamatory gossip that was prevalent in the Business Office. There seemed to be no checks & balances in place, which allowed the gossip to spill over to countless employees, so people felt unsettled and fearful that they would eventually be ripe for being undermined and/or a target of the gossip. Because of this, many employees went along with the gossip so they would hopefully avoid being bullied or targeted. I know.... it's cowardly. But I think many saw that being part of the incessant "gossip pool" was basically a sort of self-preservation.
