Larger contractor so it's not very tight knit but overall great.
Freedom to work independently
Most of the time, the work that you do is team based.
Overall compensation for your work
Well you're not gonna get 15 an hour to turn pizzas. Delivery drivers do make out well with tips in cash. However, delivery drivers get paid $9 an hour nom negotiable. So it pretty much evens out to what you'd get staying inside. But at least you get to rip butts the whole time
If you or your family become sick causing you to call out, your hours are the first they cut next schedule.
So long as you don't steal, your job is safe. Hours fluctuate.
Most floors are greasy and wet, causing very slippery conditions around hot and sharp surfaces. Nonslip shoes will not help.
It's not hard at all.
Suggestions for improvement
- Safer work conditions, better communication between team members and corporate management, better HR staff training, individualized bonus incentives (a free shift meal for example). Newer equipment for older stores, facility materials (i.e. light bulbs and storage solutions), osha 10 training should be mandatory for new hires (safety is not of corporate concern until you get hurt)
What I dislike about the company
Lack of corporate communications to team members. Without the bottom of the totom pole, the top falls over.
