The takeover caused wild swings in the culture.
Support from management
Park Nicollet is being taken over by HealthPartners, so leadership is random. I had good leaders prior to the takeover and then things turned.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Older coworkers seemed to be the first to be let go during the merger with HealthPartners.
Possibly due to the merger with HealthPartners, there were no opportunities for career development.
Overall compensation for your work
Compensation and benefits were very good for salaried employees.
PTO was generous and usually available to be used at will. However this varied greatly between departments.
I believe that as HealthPartners continues to absorb Park Nicollet, employees with Park Nicollet will be less and less secure.
The organization probably met OSHA standards, but I became aware of a colleague who felt threatened by a security person. The colleague reported it to different management and she said those managers also made her feel threatened.
Inclusive / Diverse
As a single heterosexual female, I felt regular pressure to pick up the slack for coworkers who wanted time off to attend their children's functions.
