Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2013
They trained me one on one to run a cnc torch plasma table for about a week and a half and then pretty much only answered questions as needed. I thought it would be much more inclusive and refined training procedures. They focused on blueprints more than my machine. I felt very unsure of my skills the entire eleven month's I had the job.
Suggestions for improvement
- Try caring about people and not treating business like we are just numbers. Stop patting yourselves on the back so much and get out on the floor and help the guys that need it. They would try harder if you did. Never lay off people in the way Cat does it is a bad system and people are not going to come work for you for any amount of money if they are afraid they won't have a job in two weeks. I personally would not push a broom all day for a hundred dollars an hour for Cat or Parson's. There is a good chance it won't cover the money lost when you get canned.
