I like about the employer
This is an employee owned company, so if you stay long enough to be vested, you get some major benefits. I worked for them for 11 months before leaving for grad school, and had I been vested my stock shares would have been worth about 30% of my annual salary.
I dislike about the employer
I don't have anything bad to say about the company. We did some stressful far beyond 40 hours a week work, but when mentioning how brutal a couple of weeks had been my boss asked if I wanted overtime (I didn't, I knew we'd be doing half time for at least a week). In addition, my advice was sought and heeded on decisions, including hiring, despite being a junior employee. It also says something about a company when the VPs and senior VPs are willing to pick up the tab for meals (in one case very expensive) as a thank you for doing a good job.
