It is a very cutthroat, CYA organization.
Support from management
The owner micro-manages each department
Freedom to work independently
Communication, when it occurred, tended to be vague.
Females can sometimes be treated in demeaning ways.
Attitude towards older colleagues
I had over 30 years experience when I was there. There was no respect for my experience.
No one is there long enough to know anything about career development at PMT.
Overall compensation for your work
When considering the hours I put in, my salary came out to a little over $13/hour including the overtime premium.
Office / Work Environment
It was an awful environment to work in.
I worked seven days a week for an average of 75 hours per week.
When I went to my next employer, they knew all about PMT and understood what I had gone through.
Turnover rate is about 3:1 annualized. Managers have a lifespan of about four months.
Owners park in the two handicap parking spots and they’re not handicapped.
Suggestions for improvement
- Ownership should step back and let professional management run the business.
