Support from Management

Great support from direct management. Not so great higher up

Teamwork

Great co-workers on my direct team

Career Development

No clear career paths

Work-Life Balance

Was not overworked. Benefit of working for London-based company

Company Image

Many people still see Pearson as textbook company that gouges students.

Job security

Many rounds of layoffs. Still happening. Everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop

Suggestions for improvement

  • Promoting from within is awesome. However, pulling marketing directors from sales with no direct experience was difficult for my department.

What I like about the company

I think that there is room to grow and to learn and a willingness to try new things.

What I dislike about the company

When I worked there, it seems that director level and above were paid handsomely, at the expense of manager level and below where salaries were below market.

Company culture

More relaxed, fun events.

Support from Management

Non existent, main emphasis is to recruit as many agents as possible, supporting or developing agents to make a living is in the back burner

Teamwork

Very little teamwork but that is real estate where each one fends for itself no one will give you a ticket to a free meal (lead)

Level of Autonomy

As a realtor, you are self employed with a high degree of autonomy over your career sucess or failure
