Suggestions for improvement

  • Follow policies and procedures, do not ask your employees to perform illegal tasks, respect your employees and the job they do, do not treat men and women differently, provide job descriptions and perform employee evaluations, your employees have the experience trust them to advise and make suggestions, do not state to your employees, " any trained monkey can do your job" do not threaten, assault or scream obscenities at your employees. Do not constantly tell your employees they will be fired.

What I like about the company

The people I served as a Township Administrator were wonderful and my coworkers were hard workers and were concerned about the best interest of the taxpayers.

What I dislike about the company

Policies were not followed, the employees were constantly threatened by the elected Supervisors. When you requested your paid vacation or days off they would not approve. In an office of 3 there were 23 office clerks that quit or were fired between 2010-2015.

Gender Equality

Full time employees were eligible for employer paid health insurance. As a disabled veteran (working fun time), I was denied health insurance.

Career Development

No career development at all. Additional training denied routinely.

Overall compensation for your work

Compensation and benefits so lacking, employees petitioned successfully for union representation.

Job Security

Employer emphasizes "at will" employment and popular comment is, "this employer changes employees like you change toilet paper rolls".

Handicapped Accessibility

Yes, employer complies with ADA/accommodations.

Workplace Safety

Does not require safety committee, does not research OSHA and lacks required training. Road work does not include flag men.

Challenging Work

Always proud of my work product and assisting residents of the township.

  • Resignation of board with replacement of qualified, professional people.

I liked the variety of duties and assisting the residents

What I dislike about the company

(1). The Board of Supervisors lack sufficient education in local government to make informed decisions on issues. (2) Nepotism. (3) Cronyism (4) Request to take illegal action. (4). Back door decisions/lack of transparency.
