Creative environment, knowledgeable colleagues, still some company traditions (awards, years of service awards, community connections, etc.)-but clearly disappearing.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Give vacation pay for contractors. It is a joke that company wellness center on site isn't open to contractors. I know that you probably have other things to do, but I would advise the upper management to get rid of biased and toxic management that still does exist in the LF location.

I like about the employer

I was a contractor and moved to a better suited role recently with a different company. Pfizer acquired the Lake Forest location and what I liked was that if you had a good review in your past team, it was very easy to move to another project within the company. A lot of the sick leave, 401(k) etc didn't apply to me as a contractor, but I did benefit from flex hours and depending upon the manager, even contractors can work from home once or twice a week.
