This company refers to itself as a "grey"company. They are referring to the customer service side of the business, but it's more accurate in relation to the lies they will tell it's employees to get the production they want, which is not a sustainable business practice.
Support from management
PGA Tour Superstore pushes employees to transfer to other locations (in other states) in exchange for a promotion. It's almost a no questions askedas far as ability is concerned, so 99% of their management dont really have the ability.
Freedom to work independently
Any position in this store can be mastered within weeks if you have a brain.
Headsets are worn through out the store to keep communication flowing, but most turn them off or don't wear/use them. Often wrong information is shared but cannot be corrected due to chatter and the one-way nature of their headsets.
The squeaky wheel gets the oil, usually not the efficient wheel...
Overall compensation for your work
Minimum pay, no real benefits besides 25% employee discount which is limited to $1200.
Office / Work Environment
Working here you are either overworked or get nearly zero hours, all while the store as a whole is understaffed at all times.
Management will fire you without reason and will work together to cover themselves. Watched this happen to many in my 3 years.
Company would rather the work be done quickly than safely and will cut corners in the name of the bottom line
Inclusive / Diverse
Management here is like the cool kids table at school, the whole atmosphere is entirely reminiscent of high school.
Suggestions for improvement
- More management oversight, not just at the store level but all the way up the ladder, it is absolutely necessary! As it is upper management appears as a bunch of frat brothers who only care about doing as little as possible for more money.
